Dr. Ulhas belongs to a family, known for its literary and theatrical activities in Maharashtra . After completing his schooling in the Konkan region, he graduated and post graduated in Pediatric Medicine (child health) from the prestigious Seth G.S. Medical College / K.E.M Hospital / Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for children in Mumbai, with distinction and gold medals. With a brilliant academic career, Dr. Ulhas is the proud recipient of merit in SSC, National Science Talent Scholarship and Jagannath Shankarsheth Sanskrit Scholarship.
He is the proprietor of Siddhi Hospital for children at Dombivli and Managing Director of Paednest Medical and Research Center Pvt. Ltd. A company which had launched a level-3 Intensive Care Unit for children at Dombivli named “ACE”.
A Rotarian since 1986, Dr. Ulhas is a member of Rotary Club of Dombivli East and was the President of the Club in 1992-93, with many distinguished achievements qualifying him for ‘Best President' District Award during the year. Since then, he has a rare honor of working at almost all important positions in Dist. 3140. He has also received Distinguished Service Awards from many Governors and is also a multiple Paul Harris Fellow. He has great oratory skills and has also authored many books, both on Rotary and other general topics.
Dr. Ulhas is strongly supported by wife Dr. Varsha a Child Specialist, Health Educator and author of two books on Science of beauty. The couple are blessed with a charming daughter Ketaki.
